An ASP is an Accredited Service Provider performing contestable works in the NSW energy distribution network. Whilst you may already have the appropriate ASP accreditation and authorisation which allows you to work on the NSW network, you are required to successfully complete annual refresher training and assessment to maintain your skills, competency, and to maintain you ASP accreditation and distribution networks authorisation.

Annual refresher training requirements for ASP’s have some variances dependent upon your ASP Accreditation level and tasks performed (as specified by the NSW ASP Scheme Rules), however most of these requirements are focussed upon working safely around electrical apparatus, performing rescue procedure appropriate to the work being performed, administering first aid in the event of an injury, and have some commonality across ASP levels and classes.

The table below captures the refresher training profile for Level 2 Accredited Service Providers
